Pune: Women from various backgrounds and sections of society enthusiastically put forward their suggestions to solve the water issue at the Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation workshop, organised by the Sakal Media Group on Saturday.

The strong realisation that they have to start saving water at an individual level, was the most significant feature of the discussion held on the occasion.

The workshop in Pune was a part of over 50 workshops, which were held simultaneously across the State, while the Tanishka members from various places connected with each other through multimedia.

The Sakal International Learning Centre (SILC), the venue of discussion in the city, was buzzing with activity. The women were given a floral welcome as the heads of the Tanishka Foundation from all over the city arrived at the venue for the interaction.

The women took an oath to give prime importance to water conservation and resolved to find a solution to the water woes in the State. They also had the opportunity to hear the experiences of other Tanishka members and the questions raised by women in other parts of the State which were answered by the experts on Saam TV.
Later, the participants discussed the problems and solutions related to water issues in groups.
