Velhe: Children from 10 anganwadis from Velhe recently participated in an awareness rally organised as part of the Rajmata Jijau Health and Nutrition Campaign, spreading the message ‘Free from Malnutrition’.
Members of the Tanishka Velhe group distributed bananas to the participants of the rally when it reached the primary health centre in Velhe. The campaign has been launched by the State government to be implemented between November 14 and April 7. The campaign aims at taking special care of children faced with malnutrition and lack of a healthy diet.
Children from anganwadis in Velhe (Junnar) participated in a special awareness rally organised as part of the campaign. They were led by the Group Leader Pallavi Bhandari and Deputy Leader Kanta Gatkal, members Sanjeevani Meher, Vaishali Bhujbal, Jai Velhekar, Rupali Shinde, Surekha Brochate, Smita Vakharia, Sujata Shinde, Tanvi Bhujbal, Sharada Gatkal, Sheela Lad, Hussainbe Pathan and Anita Chavan along with anganwadi workers who also participated in the campaign.
