This will help the sensitive sections of the society and also the police personnel to support them wholeheartedly, he said.
Addressing a monthly meeting of Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation at Otur in Junnar taluka of Pune district, Kadam spoke on the theme of ‘Women’s safety’. He said that an untoward incident can be averted if women are more alert and should be prepared to fight courageously against the attackers.
Otur Panchayat Samiti’s member Manisha Dhumbare presided over the meeting which was held at Savitribai Phule Kanya Vidyalaya.
Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation group leader Usha Kardile also spoke on the issue.
Those who participated in the discussion about women’s safety included Vrushali Avchat, Pratibha Tambe, Dr Savita Phalke, Dr Sunita Vetal, Priyanka Udas, Seema Tambe, Nalini Dhumbare, Shubhangi Pansare, Swati Panhale, Priya Walkaway, Ashwini Tambe and Dr Sulakshana Kute.
API Kadam assured the members of security arrangements at the weekly bazaar sites, bus depots and at Otur College.
