Tanishka members vow to deal with those harassing girls
KHANDALA (Satara): Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation members here have appealed girls to raise their voice against roadside romeos.
At a monthly meeting held at Shirval recently, Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation members have also asked the girls to inform Tanishka members about teasing by roadside romeos.
Tanishka members have promised to deal with those who are teasing girls.
The monthly meeting was presided over by Bilkish Shaikh. The Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation members have also planned to submit a letter to police authorities regarding harassment by transgenders. Tanishka members have asked the police to maintain a vigil near schools after and before school timing to avoid harassment of roadside romeos.
For the good health of the women, Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation members will organise a free hemoglobin and blood group testing camp at Balaji Clinic at Shirval on January 4. After the test, medicine will be provided to the needy women. Members have appealed all women to take benefit of the camp. A lecture on laws and rights for women is also planned in the near future.
