AHMEDNAGAR: Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation members living in Lohasar village, Pathardi taluka, and Dhondpargaon village, Jamkhed taluka, in the Ahmednagar district, were gifted Light-Emitting Diode (LED) lamps by the Lighto company and Sakal Media Group, on Sunday.

The gift of the lamps, prior to the Diwali festival, has brought much happiness to the residents of the two villages.

Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation members were presented with 500 LED lamps, each of Rs 700, at a function organised by the Lighto company and the Sakal Media Group.

The function was attended by Lighto company’s Chief Executive Officer Navin Saxena, Director Sobat Aswal, General Manager Sheetal Bhise, Ahmednagar ‘Sakal’ Resident Editor Bal J Bote, Associate Editor Varsha Kulkarni, Senior Manager Prasad Thipse and Lohasar Sarpanch Hiratai Gitepatil.

In her address, Pathardi Tehisldar said that everyday she works for 14 hours and now, out of these, she will devote one hour to work exclusively to solve problems faced by the members of the Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation. She also assured that she will be giving the benefits of various government schemes to widows and to women deserted by their husbands.
