Tanishka organizes a health camp in Junnar!

Members of the Tanishka Foundation from Junnar Taluka decided to create health awareness programme amongst the women in their region by organizing a general health check-up camp. With the help of the Health Department under the Zilla Parishad and in association with Vishwa Clinic from Baner, Pune, Tanishka members organized a general Health Camp on 14th January, 2015. The camp was inaugurated by Mrs. Varsha Kurhade, Sarpanch, Alegaon. This initiative witnessed a massive participation of more than 125 women from various regions of Ale, Behe, Vadgaon Kandali, Bori Budruk, Nimgaon Sawa, Otur, Junnar, Pimplawadi, Unchkhadak, Rajura, amongst others.

This health check-up camp was successful in creating awareness amongst the women and the efforts undertaken by the Tanishka Foundation were appreciated by the villagers and local MLA. The list of members who played a vital role in making this initiative successful included Mrs. Nayana Doke and Mrs. Snehal Shelke, members of the Zilla Parishad; Mrs. Sangita Wagh, Chairperson, Panchayat Samiti; Dr. Shyam Bankar, Taluka Health Officer; Dr. Priya Deshpande, Director, Vishwa Clinic and Mrs. Ujwala Shewale, Tanishka Head, Junnar.
