Pune: The Tanishka Volunteers initiative launched recently by the Sakal Media Group is evoking an overwhelming response from all over the state.
Introduced to mark the Bhau-Beej celebrations as part of Diwali, the initiative was welcomed by women who expressed eagerness to join the initiative to bring about a change at various levels all over the state. Appreciating the initiative, they described it as a step toward strengthening the position of women in society, a unique way of understanding their feelings and to find solutions to their problems.
Besides women, the initiative will be useful for society as women, who unite under the banner of Tanisha Volunteers, will strive to ensure a better future for the entire State, desirous participants explained. The Tanishka Foundation has already united women in group which have already starting working for betterment of society and the results have started showing. The Tanishka Volunteers’ network, will take the benefits of the initiative to each and every household of the state, they opined.
Besides giving an opportunity to women to connect and associated with every possible members of society, the initiative has also provided them with a chance to join hand with a large media group with an aim to bring about positive changes.
The offices of the Sakal Media Group and the Sakal Call centre were flooded with calls from women who wanted to enquire about and register their names as volunteers of the group. Majority of the women, joining the initiative, expressed confidence that the initiative will help in taking all government schemes to the women in the rural areas and at the same time, help in conveying their opinions to the State government.
Thanking the Sakal Media Group for introducing a unique activity like the Tanishka Volunteers, women joining the initiative, said this step will go a long way in ensuring a better future for both, the women as well as the entire population of Maharashtra.
