Members have taken up initiatives such as women empowerment, medical camps, environmental initiatives like banning plastic, empowering the underprivileged sections of the society, various workshops and addressing various civic problems of their own localities.
Dr. Shilpa Ganphule, a professor at Savitribai Phule Pune University, said, “There were a few visually-impaired students in my class. When I asked how they study, they said that someone reads out to them. This gave me an idea of recording the syllabus and distributing audio disks to them. These 16 GB disks are proving useful to those students as well as others.”
