
Nagpur: Tanishka Foundation has been extremely instrumental in standing up against commencement of alcohol shops in Nildoh, Gajanan Nagar. However, the locals have, tried to commence alcohol business by flouting the rules and regulations of the community,
Tanishka’s fight against this battle finally smells the air of success as Tanishka coordinator Rachana Kanher along with other members met State Excise Superintendent, Collector, Sachin Kurve, Guardian Minister, Chandrashekhar Bavankule and Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis with their concern. Post these meetings, the activities related to the alcohol business were ceased.
After receiving orders from the District Collector to set up an inquiry against this issue, the Tehsildar got in touch with Rachana Kanher and met Gajanan Nagar Chief in charge, Chanda Tekade, Hingna Chief in charge, Madhuri Kolhe and other members along with Rachana Kanher. The Tehsildar gave an assurance to Tanishka members that soon a report on the same will be submitted to the District Collector. Hingna Nagar Panchayat, administrator, Madhuri Kolhe demanded laying prevention on other illegal businesses in the area. Present at this time were Vishnu Kolhe, Amit Bhoyar, Gajanan Lad and Tanishka member Neelima Ingle, Arpita Sakhare, Dipalaksmi Lad, Asha Citakule, Tai Pakhamode and the villagers.
