PUNE: Thousands of Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation members from all over Maharashtra will assemble at over 50 places in the State on the occasion of International Women’s Day, on March 8, to find a solution to the problem of water shortage.
Members of the Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation will participate in the workshops to be held in Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Nagpur and even in remote areas like Ahiri in Gadchiroli district.
Most importantly, there will be a live telecast of the proceedings of these workshops on Saam TV. Water experts assembled at Saam TV’s Mumbai office will interact with the women participating in the workshops and answer their queries.
Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation will complete one year on the occasion of the Gudi Padwa. The forum has provided a platform to women. On the completion of the first anniversary, the Tanishka members will work towards eradication of drought in the State.
Sakal Media Group, with the help of the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu) of the Malaysian Prime Minister’s Office, has been deliberating on various problems faced by Maharashtra.
The Group has already donated Rs 20 crore to solve the problem of scarcity of water in the State. Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation will analyse the scarcity of water in their respective areas and suggest new schemes to find solutions.
