Symbiosis and MIT students watch IPL game from Sakal Media Group’s corporate box on Thursday

Gahunje: Sakal Times, as part of its Tanishka Junior Forum initiative, provided an IPL treat to 20 students from the Symbiosis and MIT group of colleges on Thursday.
Twenty students from the Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies and MIT College of Engineering watched the IPL match between Pune Warriors India and Rajasthan Royals from inside the cool confines of the Sakal Media group’s corporate box at the Subrata Roy Sahara stadium at Gahunje.
For most students, it was their first experience to watch a live cricket match under floodlights. The students expressed their gratitude to the Tanishka Junior Forum for providing them with this VIP treatment.
The students whistled, blew trumpets, waved the Pune Warriors flag at the fall of every opponent’s wicket. They were on cloud nine as they appreciated the heroics of Warriors cricketers, Aaron Finch and Yuvraj Singh on the field.
Shubhangi Sinha from Symbiosis Institute of Technology told Sakal Times, “It is a real privilege to sit in this corporate box and watch the game. I am on top of the world. I will support the Tanishka Junior Forum and become an active member of the club.”
The students who were treated to sumptuous snacks and beverages during the game, were also happy to see some of their favourite cricket players, film personalities and business tycoons from very close quarters.
Priya Bhagdewani from MIT College of Engineering, said, “I think the Tanishka Junior Forum is an innovative idea to connect with the youth. I loved watching the game live. It is very different from watching it on television.”

Pooja Kaushik, Symbiosis Institute of Technology

This was only possible because of Sakal Times. It was a dream to watch my favourite player Rahul Dravid, batting, fielding and guiding his team. I enjoyed the combination of cricket and entertainment.
Raunaq Sokhi, Symbiosis Institute of Technology

I was getting real, world-class treatment in the corporate box. I am grateful for being given the opportunity by the Sakal Times Tanishka Junior Forum to watch the game.
Nitin Nair, Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies

I will support this forum using Facebook and Twitter. I will spread the message of the forum in college and will be willing to participate in the activities conducted by this forum. Watching Yuvraj win the game with a big six from the corporate box was double joy for me.
Prachi Dhamale, Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies

The idea of the Tanishka Junior Forum is both innovative and interesting. I think it is the best way of connecting with the youth and reaching out to the people.
Priya Raj, MIT College of Engineering

Clicking pictures with friends, encouraging the players of the home side and waiving the Pune Warriors India flag, made the evening unforgettable. The credit goes to the Tanishka Junior Forum.
Rushabh Khinvasara, MIT College of Engineering

Being a Pune boy, I was glad that the Warriors won after such a long time. Standing on the balcony for three hours, I enjoyed cheering for the home side.
