PUNE: Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation members welcomed children on their first day of the new academic year in various schools run by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Monday.
The forum visited various PMC schools in Yerawada and welcomed students with chocolates and flowers. Among those present were Mandakini Chandhere, Sulabha Kshirsagar, Mary Anthony, Alka Dhage, Sumita Adhav, Ruchira Gaikwad, Rohini Gaikwad and Preeti Thakur.
Textbooks and uniforms were distributed by the school board of the PMC. One of the students from standard VII, Adesh Sham Jadhav, was felicitated for performing in various children’s plays.
