Rajura city in Chandrapur district witnessed a gala event full of women of Tanishka Foundation . A programme to boost Healthcare awareness, Women security, hospitality, self confidence, appreciation and cooperation among women lasted for two days. The first ever Tanishka Festival took place in Rajura to recognize the work and achievements of Tanishkas in the region. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis felicitated and appreciated the work of different Tanishka groups. The ceremony was visited by all the Tanishkas from Aamagaon to Khamgaon region at Rajura city. Bollywood Action Master Yajnesh Shetty, guided women for self-defence and demonstrated techniques which gave them confidence to protect themselves in any situation.
Shubhada Deshmukh from Kurakheda mentored women about healthcare, cleared all their doubts and explained how it’s absolutely necessary for their family’s well-being.
On the second day, Tanishka women discussed their work with Abhijit Pawar, the Managing Director of Sakal Media Group and expressed their expectations of Social work, team work, business and industrial training from the Sakal Media Group.
Chief Minister- Devendra Fadnavis, State Finance Minister- Sudhir Mungantiwar, SMG Managing Director- Abhijit Pawar, MLA- Sanjay Dhote and District Council President- Sandhya Grunule were present at the ceremony. Kodamendhi, Parashivani, Digadoha, Katol, Amravati, Wani, Devli, Wardha, Goregaon, Sakoli, Aheri, Dhaba, Vashim groups were felicitated at this ceremony.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, promised to make 5000 villages in the state drought free by the end of next year with active participation from Tanishka members. In addition to this, a resolution to build a mall in the city of Rajura for Bachatgat was made. Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar assured that the Government of Maharashtra will support all the initiatives taken by the Tanishka Foundation .
Tanishka women returned to their hometowns with new vigour and energy.
