On Thursday thousands of women from various parts of Maharashtra converged at the Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation, initiated by the Sakal Media Group’s Saam Marathi channel as part of the Tanishka Stree Prathista Abhiyan. The women now have a Suraksha band – with a number – 9225800800 inscribed on it, which they can dial to seek assistance.
