Women feel the Tanishka workshop has doubled their confidence

PUNE: As the women, who participated in the recent two-day workshop organised by Sakal Media Group’s Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation in Mumbai, return to their villages, the smiles on their faces clearly say that they are taking a lot more than they thought they would.
These women reflect new hope, confidence and an awareness that they need to think differently. Knowing that Sakal Media Group and other elected members are supporting them in their ventures, the women are full of zeal.

The participant women stated that the inputs received from the workshop have given them a new perspective. They said they had learnt about different ways to solve the problems that plague their villages.

We learnt how to find the solutions to various problems in a scientific way, the women said. They were impressed with the fact that each of them got an opportunity to convey their thoughts, something that had never happened before.

The elected members across the State expressed their desire to carry forward the work under the forum. The women said they will use the forum as a platform for solving different issues faced by their villages. The Sakal Media Group will support the positive efforts that will be initiated by elected representatives for women’s empowerment.

HUGE RESPONSE

Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation will continue organising such events. Women from all over the State will be registered as members of the forum. In view of the large number of women interested in participating in such workshops, they will be chosen through a lottery system.
