Agrowon agri exhibition in city from next Friday

zPUNE: The Agrowon Agriculture Exhibition, which has by now become an integral part of every progressive farmer’s life, will be held in the city from November 22.

Agricultural equipment manufactured by national and international manufacturers and latest technologies will be available for farmers through the exhibition at the Agricultural College Grounds near Range Hills from November 22 to 26. Being organised by Sakal-Agrowon, which has been launching various initiatives for the benefit of the field of agriculture, the farmers and rural development, the exhibition will bring information, technology and guidance to the visitors.

The exhibition will witness participation of renowned national and international companies.
With Force Motors Ltd as the main sponsors, the exhibition is also being sponsored by Maschio Gaspardo India Pvt Ltd while Patil Biotech Pvt Ltd, DSK Milkotronics Pvt Ltd and Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers Ltd are the co-sponsors.

The participants of the exhibition will include manufacturers of agricultural equipment, different modern machines, tractors, drip and spray irrigation systems and spraying machines, fertilisers, medicines and seeds besides agricultural universities, banks, insurance companies, agricultural research centres, agricultural science centres, various agriculture related industries, nurseries, food processing units along with government departments related to agriculture. About 200 stalls of different sizes have been made available at the exhibition.
To provide technical information to farmers, along with modern technology, the exhibition will have seminars where experts from different fields will participate.

Farmers from all parts of the state, form groups to travel and participate in the annual Agrowon Agriculture Exhibition. Participation of farmers from other states always ads colour to the exhibition. Besides gathering information about the latest technologies in the field of agriculture and an opportunity to take a look at the most modern machines, the exhibition provides farmers an opportunity to interact with agriculturists from across the country and exchange valuable information.

Women actively participate in agriculture. They are also keen on the use of modern technolo gies in agriculture. The Agrowon Agriculture Exhibition witnesses sizeable participation of women every year. This year, the exhibition will witness participation of Tanishka Groups from rural areas of Maharashtra. Tanishka members have already started efforts to ensure that rural women benefit from the exhibition.
