Pune: “We plan to have thousands of party workers run a publicity campaigns for Tanishka elections. We aim to use Hajari system, booth-wise awareness campaigns, plan to reach high number of women via all branches and fronts of the parties and reach high number of voters virtually through social networking sites”, said the representatives of parties following the Amebdkar ideology.
The elections for members of Tanishka forum will take place on Saturday. A meeting with the Ambedkar-following parties was organized in ‘Sakal’ office with reference to this. Amongst present for the meeting were Mahendra Kamble, the city chief of Republican Party (Athawale faction), Balasaheb Janrao, Hanumant Sathe, the president of Matang front, Parshuram Wadekar, Shailendra Chavan, Mahipal Waghmare, Veeren Sathe, Milind Ahire, the regional secretary of Bharip Bahujan socialist republican party, Umesh Chavan, Dadarao Gaikwad, Ad. Vaishali Chandane, the women regional secretary of the forum, Meenakshi Mane, Saakshi Gaikwad, Kusha Gaikwad, Vimal Gaikwad, Madhavi Phadke, Sandhya Chore, Meena bansode, Nanda Waghmare, Sandhya Mane, Umesh Chavan, the president of ‘Krantijyoti Pune’, Archana Pradhan, Vidya Chavan, Kamlesh Chabukswar, Rajashree Kale, the president of Adivasi Pardhi community development council , Manik Londhe from the republicans, Hanumant SHivaji, Rahul Pardeshi, Deepak Ovhal, Prakash Oswal, Anil Mohite and so on.
“Every branch of the party is instructed to run a publicity campaign for Tanishka elections. We will also use the parties’ logistical structure to fetch a large number of women towards polling booth. All the office bearers as well as party workers in the city will be active for Tanishka election”, promised Kamble.
Ad. Chandane shared that publicity system has been instructed to work ward-wise. The office bearers and the party workers plan to focus on one-on-one meetings by personally visiting homes. Additionally, WhatsApp will also be used for publicity.
“‘Sakal’ realized the importance of women empowerment and created a platform for them through Tanishka forum. This election promises a customized platform for women. Hence we also plan to lend our support to Tanishka and help in ensuring voting in large numbers.”, said Ahire.
