PUNE: The first-ever job fair for women in the State will be organised here on Friday. The fair will offer over 3,500 positions for women in around 60 companies in Pimpri-Chinchwad.

This fair is an initiative of the Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation, Nigdi Pradhikaran sector 24, the Employment and Self Employment Centre and the Audyogik Shikshan Mandal’s (ASM) Institute of Business Management and Research (IBMR).

Women who have passed Standard X and those who are ITI certified or are graduates can benefit from the job fair.
The fair will be inaugurated by industrialist Lila Poonawalla at 10 am on Friday.
Editor of Sakal Malhar Arankalle, ASM Chairman Dr Sandeep Pachpande and others will be present.
Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation has appealed to women from Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune and the district to visit the job fair.

GUIDANCE FOR SELF-EMPLOYMENT

During the job fair, representatives from MITCON and the District Industries Centre will offer guidance to women who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs. Financial guidance will also be provided between 2 pm and 4 pm at the IBMR auditorium.
