The Tanishka Foundation team from India with Teresa Romero (Director General, INMUJERES Mexico City), and Francesca Salinas (President TWP)
The Women’s Institute in Mexico came into existence on 28th Feb, 2002, which is a decentralized public agency of the District Public Administration Federal. Their primary objective is to promote, implement, design, coordinate and evaluate the programs conducted for women. This institute also focuses on empowering women in the field of social, economic, political, cultural and family.
To bridge the gap of inequality between men and women, the general program of Equal Opportunity and Non-Discrimination against women in the city of Mexico is linked to a result-based budgeting action that guides such programs and addresses concerns related to gender equality at the local level.
The Tanishka Foundation members from India tried to understand key priority areas and explore different opportunities to develop a strategic alliance with the Mexico team.
