Initiative under Tanishka women’s dignity drive

KOLHAPUR: The Gudhi of women’s dignity will be erected under the Tanishka women’s dignity drive with the initiative of the Sakal Media Group’s Saam Marathi channel on the occasion of Gudhi Padva on April 11.

Women from all over Maharashtra have resolved to celebrate Gudhi Padva in the same manner.

The Gudhi will be worshipped in the morning at the Mahalaxmi temple on April 11. A public programme will be held at the historic Bhavani Mandap at 5.30 pm.

Activists of various social organisations and political parties will participate in the programme. Prior to the function, a procession of the Gudhi will be held in the city. A large number of female college students will participate in the rally.

Various constituents of the society have spontaneously responded to the movement. A number of activities including motorcycle rallies of collegian girls and street plays will be organised on the occasion of Gudhi Padva.

Members of the Tanishka Women’s Dignity Foundation will also erect the Gudhis in their respective areas on the occasion of Gudhi Padva.

The Tanishka Women’s Dignity campaign has received tremendous support and provided a forum for women from all over the State.
