Pune: When boundaries start raining it doesn’t really matter who is scoring. The kick one gets out of watching a whacked ball cruising out of the ground is something only a cricket lover can explain, but just as it might be, the experience of watching cricketers in person from a hospitality box is an experience in itself.
As the inconsequential the Indian Premier League match between hosts Pune Warriors India and Delhi Daredevils might have been, just as the cricket fans thronged at the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium in Gahunje, the 20 lucky students from the MIT Institute of Design, Loni, enjoyed every moment of the season’s last match here on Sunday.
That Pune Warriors began with a cracker before mellowing down a bit in the middle overs and then going on the overdrive in the death overs brought in all emotions as the students had one gala time in the Sakal Corporate Box.
Waving flags of Pune Warriors, the students of design were all ecstatic as the Pune team took the grip on the match. They thanked Tanishka Junior Forum which made it possible for them to witness the match from the elite galleries of this picturesque stadium, a day which they will never forget.
There have been eight matches here so far and in only one Pune managed to win. So to be able to witness action where Pune finally scored their second home win of the season, it was a special treat.
As the current IPL season came to an end for the Pune cricket fans, the students wished they would get more such opportunities to watch high-level cricket in the near future.
Aditi Pimprikar, MIT Institute Of Design

I was really excited watching the match. I would like to thank Sakal Times for this wonderful opportunity they have given us students. This is the first time I watched a match at the stadium which makes it more memorable for me.
Chirag Shah, MIT Institute Of Design

I loved the Tanishka Foundation concept a lot. It is a great way to promote young talent and I would definitely love to be a part of it and contribute in my own way. I would like to thank Sakal Times for giving us the chance to watch the match live.
Anisha Nath, MIT Institute Of Design

The Tanishka Foundation concept is a brilliant idea. There is a lot of talent among the youth that needs a platform and Tanishka can provide it to them. I will be glad to be a part of it and help out with it. Also watching the match at the stadium was a unique experience which I will never forget.
Amirkhan Pathan, MIT Institute Of Design

I am very glad to be a part of the Tanishka initiative, it is a very good thing to happen. It will serve as a good platform for youngsters like us to showcase their talents. Although I have watched a match before at the stadium this was a different experience as we watched the match from the corporate box which was a different experience.
