MUMBAI: After the overwhelming participation received for the recently-held Tanishka Women’s Dignity Forum elections, now there is growing interest among the forum members about the two-day convention to be held here from April 19.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be the chief guest at the concluding ceremony on Thursday, April 20.
Three months ago, the elections held by the Tanishka Women’s Dignity Forum under the personality development programme had received a good response. Over 2,000 Tanishka Forum members had participated in it. As a second step, this convention is being held, which would focus on leadership, ability and entrepreneurship.
The convention will see the presence of authorities from the State ministry and other experts.
On the occasion, some of the members will share their experiences on Tanishka Forum’s work like Yashogatha, environment conservation, addressing drought among other things.
The convention would be held at Yashwantrao Chavan Centre here and would be inaugurated at 10 am on Wednesday.
The Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Praveen Singh Pardeshi, Principal Secretary of Skill Development Department Deepak Kapoor, Urban Development Department’s Principal Secretary Manisha Mhaiskar, and State Women’s Commission’s chief Vijaya Rahatkar, Corporate trainer Ravi Kowadkar, entrepreneur Revati Roy, Additional Director General of Police Pradnya Saravade, among others will interact with those assembled.
A large number of members of the Tanishka Forum from different parts of the State have arrived here to participate in the convention.
